Base camp

I finally got to base camp late last night, after taking two flights and a short boat ride up the Nile river. I was exhausted so after a quick snack I decided to crawl into my tent and get some much needed sleep.

This morning when I woke up it took a few minutes to remember where I was. My brain is still a bit fuzzy from all the traveling yesterday but I can’t wait to get dressed and start exploring this ancient land.

I think I will take it easy today and go into town to look around the local market. There must be a place where I can get some breakfast and maybe even a few supplies before I head off into the desert.

Here is a picture of the base camp where I am staying, its very basic but I think its great.
